Dancers In the ‘Dancer’ great classical basic principles such as balance, proportion and movement play the leading part. There is plenty of room for study of rhythm, language of forms and effects of the material and of the tension between figuration and abstraction. The meaning is universal – every individual is searching for balance in the area of opposites and for the freedom to realise himself.
There is clear emphasis on horizontal and vertical movements with sometimes a diagonal, a circle or a spiral.
With thanks to my dancing model Peter de Haas.

A song of longing for the lost beloved and of glorification of nature.
